Why DPP compliance is a 2026-2030 priority, not a checkbox
The EU Digital Product Passport rolls out by sector: batteries 2027, textiles 2027-2030, electronics around 2028, construction 2030. Each phase requires structured product data — material composition, repair instructions, end-of-life category, provenance — directly readable by regulators and consumers via QR code.
For European distributors and importers, this is not optional. If you sell in the EU and your supplier doesn't provide a DPP, you become responsible for generating it. The data has to live somewhere structured — the PIM is the natural home.
